Our way of working

We aim to earn our clients’ continued business through the quality of our work and the relationships we build. Our usual client-service model does not require a signed fixed-term contract or a minimum long-term commitment. Where a client requests a formal agreement, we agree the terms with them separately.

A flexible working relationship still involves an agreement about the work and payment. The scope, fees and timing agreed with you apply, whether confirmed in a proposal, email or a separate signed agreement. These website terms do not retrospectively change an existing client agreement.

Client services and payment

Our services include marketing strategy, websites, SEO, paid media, social media, design, content and related marketing support. We agree the services to be provided with each client.

Please refer to your agreed proposal or other written confirmation for the scope of work, fees, payment dates and any approved third-party costs. Additional work or changes to the scope need to be agreed with us. There is no automatic annual subscription or fixed cancellation notice period imposed by this page.

Stopping or changing client services

If you wish to pause, change or stop future work, contact us at info@marketingyorkshire.co.uk. We will confirm the work affected and any work or costs you have already authorised. Stopping future services does not remove your obligation to pay for services already delivered or third-party costs you have expressly approved.

If you have requested and agreed a separate fixed-term arrangement, its agreed cancellation provisions apply.

Client-service refunds

We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds for client services already delivered as agreed. For business clients, payments for agreed client services are otherwise non-refundable except where we agree a refund in writing or you are legally entitled to one.

This policy does not allow us to retain payment for services we fail to supply as agreed, or remove your rights if services are not provided with the care and skill required by law. Please contact us if there is a problem so that we can investigate and put it right. Where a refund or price reduction is legally due, we will provide it.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, any applicable statutory cancellation, refund and other consumer rights take priority over this policy. We do not exclude those rights.

Training bookings and refunds

Training may be booked personally or on behalf of a business. The client-service no-refunds policy above does not apply to training.

You may cancel for a full refund if we receive your cancellation at least 48 hours before the event’s advertised start time. For a multi-session course booked as one package, this means 48 hours before the first session. Email info@marketingyorkshire.co.uk with your name, course and booking reference.

For business bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the start, or where the attendee does not attend, we do not normally provide a refund. For personal bookings, this deadline does not remove statutory rights. Outside a statutory cancellation period, any amount retained following a consumer cancellation must reflect our actual loss, taking account of costs saved and any resale of the place.

Contact us if you would like to discuss transferring a place or changing a date. A transfer or rescheduling is only confirmed when we agree it with you.

If we cancel an event, you may receive a full refund or choose an alternative date. If we make a significant change that you cannot accept, contact us to arrange a refund. A refund will not be replaced with credit unless you agree.

Personal bookings: statutory cancellation rights

If you book training online or by phone as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the day after the booking agreement is made to cancel without giving a reason. This right can apply even within 48 hours of the event. Send a clear cancellation statement by email or post using our contact details above. You may use the form below, but do not have to.

If training starts during this period, we will seek your express request to start early. If you then cancel, a proportionate charge for training already supplied is payable only where the legal requirements have been met. The right ends after full performance only if you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the right would then end. Booking alone does not waive it.

Statutory refunds will be made within 14 days of being told of your cancellation, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee.
